TSBR has been invited to participate in this wonderful event - what a great opportunity to share our dogs and mission!

Who are the DIVA's?

DIVA WOMEN OUTDOORS WORLDWIDE

The mission of DIVA WOW is to help, teach and support women worldwide in a women friendly, non-threatening,  supportive environment by introducing them to shooting sports and a variety of outdoor activities.

Since 1999, DIVA WOW has dedicated its focus to encouraging and mentoring women and youth in shooting sports. With successful clinics throughout the USA, we have introduced over 4,000 women and youth to the shooting sports!

DIVA WOW is more than a shooting organization - it is a vehicle for educating women and youth about the outdoors and affords them opportunities for participation in all outdoor activities.
We believe our continued efforts will ensure the legacy of the  great outdoors for many generations to come. With a variety of shooting clinics, we are introducing women to AR-15 rifles (modern sporting rifles), shotguns, handguns, bb guns, black powder rifles, cowboy (cowgirl) action shooting, archery, crossbows, fly fishing, spin casting, dog training, equestrian events, camping and even outdoor cooking.

REMINDER: Monthly Heartworm Prevention
Wednesday April 1st, 2015 9:00 AM until 09:00 AM
Location: Awareness
76209

HW Prevention

How do monthly heartworm preventatives work?

Whether the preventive you choose is given as a pill, a spot-on topical medication or as an injection, all approved heartworm medications work by eliminating the immature (larval) stages of the heartworm parasite. This includes the infective heartworm larvae deposited by the mosquito as well as the following larval stage that develops inside the animal. Unfortunately, in as little as 51 days, immature heartworm larvae can molt into an adult stage, which cannot be effectively eliminated by preventives. Because heartworms must be eliminated before they reach this adult stage, it is extremely important that heartworm preventives be administered strictly on schedule (monthly for oral and topical products and every 6 months for the injectable). Administering prevention late can allow immature larvae to molt into the adult stage, which is poorly prevented.

Wrapping for Rescue: Cabela's (VIP Event)

Wrap for Rescue

It's Wrapping for Rescue Time!

Volunteers needed to wrap gifts during a private, invitation only VIP event for Cabela's customers!

Have a couple of hours to give?

This is a really fun event, and a great way to kick-off the holiday season - bring your family and friends to help save a life!

A note about the times - we are committed to the stores from the start time (beginning of first shift) through the end time (end of last shift). Time slots are somewhat flexible within this range, so if there is a time you are available, but it's not shown as an option, PLEASE contact us directly and we will make it work!

The stores require that we have two volunteers wrapping, so generally speaking, if you are bringing an ambassadog there must be at least two other "wrappers" to assist customers. Additionally, if we do not have the required number of volunteers to fill a shift, we will have to cancel.

Can't volunteer, but want to help?

Stores provide the basics - table, chairs, scissors, tape...we NEED donations of wrapping paper, tags, ribbon, and bows for our wrapping kits!

Last year TSBR volunteers had some of the "best wrapped gifts" and raised nearly $20,000 in donations during the season!

Did you adopt from TSBR?

This is the time of year to bring your Ambassadog to an event and help us raise money to save more lives!

What is an Ambassadog you may ask?

These are well behaved dogs that have been adopted through TSBR that come out to "Wrapping for Rescue" to showcase the amazing and grateful lives we save everyday (it helps that they can beg for donations!)! Ambassadogs should be friendly, outgoing, and love to be loved on. Sounds like a sporting breed to me!!!

Ambassadogs give the general public an opportunity to see first hand what amazing dogs are available through rescue, and where their money goes! In short, they are the reason for Wrapping for Rescue!

Wrap for Rescue

It's Wrapping for Rescue Time!

Volunteers needed to wrap gifts for Cabela's customers!

Join TSBR and the DIVAs for a Ladies' Day of Outdoor FUN!

Celebrity Bartenders

all tips go to the cause WE LOVE!

Come out, celebrate summer, #SaveALife with us!

What is Rockin' the River?

It's a free weekly summer concert series with a cool twist, the stage is right on The Trinity River in the shadow of downtown Fort Worth. You can enjoy the show floating in the river or, if you're a land lubber, bring a chair or blanket and enjoy a great view from the shore.

The Headliner plays on the Coors Waterfront Stage first then, on the Southshore Stage, The After Party Band keeps playing right up to the nightly fireworks show. Panther Island offer tubes to rent, great food from Salsa Limon, and cold beer to boot.

It's a uniquely-Fort Worth experience!

Volunteers needed to wrap gifts!

Have a couple of hours to give?

This is a really fun event and a great way to kick-off the holiday season - bring your family and friends to help save a life!

These are well-behaved dogs that have been adopted through TSBR that come out to "Wrapping for Rescue" to showcase the amazing and grateful lives we save every day (it helps that they can beg for donations!)! Ambassadogs should be friendly, outgoing, and love to be loved on. Sounds like a sporting breed to me!!!
